Weekend getaways from Paris II- Deauville
Devoid of any great history from ancient times, Deauville was a small village situated on Mount-Canisy. In 1858, the Duke of Morny, half-brother of Napoleon III, who was invited to Trouville by his doctor, took to the place and decided to construct this expanse of sand and marshes in to « a kingdom of elegance » near Paris. He constructed the city between 1860 and 1864 and made magnificent villas, race course and had it connected to Paris by rails in order to attract the aristocratic Paris clientèle.

In the beginning of 20th century , the place benefited from the enthusiasm of the « Belle Époque ». Luxury hotels and the casino came up.
Weekend getaways from Paris I- Etretat- Le Touquet- Cherbourg
Come summer and the beaches are a preferred option for a weekend getaway or for vacations. France boasts of some excellent seaside- South and South-West France borders the Mediterranean sea and is known for its sunny Cote d'Azur -French Riviera and the beaches of Languedoc. South-West coasts of France are on the Atlantic side and some of these such as the beaches of La Rochelle, Rochefort, Les Sables d'Olonne, Biarritz, Saint Malo,..are surfers' heaven. Up North and North-West coasts, some of the seaside is rocky and other sandy from the beaches of Brittany, Normandy and Nord Pas de Calais with Mont Saint Michel, Etretat, Dieppe, Le Toquet Paris Plages, Deauville to name a few.
Some of these beaches and natural sites, in addition to natural parks and monuments etc., are protected by the government, some are declared world heritage sites and others are significant revenue generators for their local communes.

The show has been been created by Doris Haug and Ruggero Angeletti, who have been the directors of the most famous shows in the world since 1961.

The Moulin Rouge’s French Cancan is famous and reclaimed world-wide. Be it for the Cannes Festival, Hollywood or even Hong Kong, the Carnival of Rio, Sydney, the troupe of Cancan dancers never hesitates to cross the frontiers to represent the Moulin Rouge and Paris.
This year as Moulin Rouge celebrates its 120 years, the French Cancan is still presented every night on the Moulin Rouge stage, and has been in every show since 1889.
