Journée de la Marche Nordique French Federation of Athletics (FFA) in collaboration with the Paris municipality and le Comité du Souffle is organising a day dedicated to the Nordic Walking. Nordic walking originated in the scandinavian countries. Using poles similar to ski poles, it is considered to be a good way to exercise the entire body and not just the limbs.
ProgramWorkshops, Initiation to Nordic walking by trained coaches, kids' stadium for children's activities,Nordic Walking tours lasting for about an hour etc. VenueParc Bercy Metro: Bercy (line 6, 14), Cour Saint-Emilion (line 14) Bus: 64, 109, 111 (Bus stop: Dijon-Lachambaudie, Terroirs de France) Velib stations: 3 stations at rue des Pirogues, rue de Bercy, rue François Truffaut. Cark Park: Saint-Émilion, Bercy Lumière. TarifFree inscription for all. InscriptionsOn the FFA site up to June 15th and at the venue on June 20th. Free t-shirts to the first 500 inscriptions (can be procured on June 20th from the venue). MisllA cloak room will be available for the participants to deposit their bags, overcoats etc. Poles for walking will be available for use free of charge (after depositing an identity card).
