This section aims at providing information should you need emergency medical care for a short stay.

The Emergency Medical Assistance (EMA) consists of a network of hospitals with emergency units, H-MICU (hopital mobile-intensive care units), SAMU (Service d'Aide Médicale d'Urgence) or Emergency Medical Assistance Service, Red Cross, General Practitioners and other qualified staff.

For Emergency Medical Care, call 15 or 112 (European Emergency Assistance). The call is toll-free.

In France, fire-fighters also play a role as first rescuers in bringing emergency medical assistance to persons in need. Call toll-free number 18 to reach the fire-fighters.

SAMU in Region Ile-de-France (Paris and adjoining suburban areas) can be reached by dialling any of the numbers in the locality closest to your place of stay.
