Till a few years back, the concept of vegetarianism in Paris was limited to salads and shallow fried vegetables served as an accompaniment to main dishes. Vegetarians and Vegans had limited choices of main dishes outside of Indian, Italian and Lebanese restaurants. However, the gastronomic scenario of Paris is opening up as organic and health food awareness is increasing.
